Introducing: MAMA

After becoming a mother to Ace, I felt creatively inspired again and had the urge to create products around the theme of motherhood. This new chapter in my life inspired me to explore the raw beauty, strength, and transformation that comes with motherhood. Through this ceramic collection, I celebrate the essence of womanhood, our resilience, softness, and the sacred journey of giving life. Each piece is a tribute to the power of birth, the bond between mother and child, and the deep-rooted strength that lies within every woman. A collection to show appreciation to the beautiful, powerfull female body.

Originally from Curaçao, Karina moved to the Netherlands to study Fine Art and Design in Utrecht. Working with ceramics has taught her to let go of having the control on everything, because the final results are in the hands of the ceramics gods and not hers. She embraces the unpredictable and sees beauty in the imperfections.

Introducing: TERA

“TERA” means earth,
soil or land. And for me, I want to return with my feet on the ground, stay
close to myself and the clay. A collection that comes purely from myself,
products that I want to make, different shapes, neutral colors and
minimalism. I want to create for myself and from myself and bring it into the world. This collection is about the intention with which the work was created. I'm going to ground myself with “TERA”

"TERA" is purely a new way of working using the Wabi-sabi philosophy as mindset.

Ceramic workshops

Join me for a workshop! I give pottery workshops in my at home studio in Rijswijk. I have a cute garden shed that I turned in to my ceramic studio.

Workshops are not the core of my business, but I love sharing the art of pottery, so I make time to give a few workshops once in a while. I always share available dates through instagram so keep an eye out!

Introducing: Yin Yang

Originally a collection that was made for Marcus Antonius restaurant. But due to many positive reactions I decided to make a special series for you to use at home! In this collection I will make other japanese inspired items using black and white colours.

Please note that everything is made by hand. All items are different from each other. That’s what makes Karamics special. Dripped glaze, tiny spots or unevenness are what gives the items their own character. These characteristics are not considered flaws, but rather contribute to the organic nature of handmade goods.
